Having spent many - ah - happy hours experimenting with this site, it struck me that it would be interesting to try to pass on some of the things I have learned.

It is my intention eventually to set up a web site for the newbie who wishes to learn something about HTML and the design of web pages.

Things are progressing slowly, however! But I thought it might be an idea to put up what I have done already, in case anybody finds it useful.

I have created a palette of safe colours, together with a basic explanation of how colour on web sites works. There is also a palette of the colour names used by Internet Explorer and Netscape.

I hope that someone out there finds them useful!
